House Hold Insecticides Services

We have state of the art laboratory for conducting experiments on pests of household importance like mosquitoes, cockroaches, bed bugs, housefly and termites. In the lab bred cultures, we have three species of mosquito, two deltamethrin resistant strains of mosquito, two species of cockroach, one species of house fly and one species of bedbugs. We undertake various in-house development projects like

  1. Efficacy and Potency determination of Bio larvicides like Bti
  2. Repellency testing using inter connected chambers
  3. Choice studies for crawling insects
  4. Direct spray knockdown studies

We also undertake projects for generation of data as per various regulatory requirements. We keep ourselves updated as per the contemporary regulatory guidelines and our experiments and reports are designed in such manner to fulfill the specific regulatory needs.  Various studies undertaken for regulatory data generation are as below:

Efficacy trials are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the products on their target pest. The trials are designed and conducted as per the applicable regulatory guidelines. Below data needs to be generated as per Indian regulatory guidelines

  1. Bioefficacy against flying/ crawling insects as per CIB and WHO guidelines
  2. Persistency on different types of surfaces
  3. Information on secondary pests outbreaks particularly of ticks and mites (in case residual Pyrethroids are being used)
  4. Data on concentration of a.i. in Air – for Aerosols (for Coil, mats, liquid vaporizer etc.)
  5. Efficacy and Persistency of insecticide impregnated bed net as per WHO guidelines
  6. Efficacy and Potency of Bio larvicides like Bti
